Privacy Policy

Stowely ("Stowely", "we", "us") is a product-information management tool for Shopify merchants. This policy explains what data Stowely collects, why, how it is stored, and how it is deleted. It applies to the Stowely web application and the Stowely app installed on a Shopify store.

What we collect

Stowely is a tool for managing a merchant's own product catalog. We collect only what is needed to provide that service:

• Your Shopify store identity — your store's .myshopify.com domain and the OAuth access token Shopify issues when you install Stowely. The token lets Stowely read and update your products on your behalf.
• Your account email — used to sign you in to the Stowely workspace.
• Your product catalog data — products, variants, options, prices, SKUs, barcodes, inventory levels, descriptions, tags, and the product photos you upload. This is your own merchandising data, which Stowely exists to help you edit and publish back to your store.

What we do NOT collect

Stowely does not collect, store, or process the personal data of your customers (shoppers). Stowely works only with your product catalog. We do not access your orders, your customer records, or any shopper personal information. Because of this, when Shopify sends us a customer data-request or customer-redaction request on a shopper's behalf, we have no shopper data to return or erase.

How we use your data

We use the data above solely to operate Stowely: to display your catalog, let you edit it on mobile and tablet, and publish your changes back to your Shopify store. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Stowely relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service:

• Shopify — the source of your store and catalog data, and the platform Stowely publishes to.
• Supabase — the hosted database where Stowely stores your catalog, account, and store connection.
• Netlify — hosts the Stowely application and its server functions.

Data retention and deletion

• When you uninstall Stowely — Shopify notifies us and we immediately discard your store's access token, so Stowely can no longer reach your store.
• Full erasure — in line with Shopify's mandatory data-protection webhooks, about 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to erase your shop's data. At that point Stowely permanently deletes your catalog, photos, store connection, and account from our database.
• You can also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
